Default Xa60.5 powercable, suggestions?

Hi,

I'm looking at upgrading my powercables on my XA60.5's
Any suggestions from Pass users here?

I'm using Audioquest NRG 1000 on my cd player and pre-amp, but I'm wondering if the pc's on a power amp are as critical as pc's on other parts of the system.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I am using some older Shunyata Anacondas on my 100.5's, and they sound better than other high end power cables in my collection. I strongly recommend looking at their current line up, and as an alternative, speaking to Ivan about Wireworld given experience I have with all their other cables I own, as well as the great deals Ivan can offer.

Crystal Cable Dreamline works very well on my Class A Accuphase integrated.

I've owned the XA30.5, XA60.5's, and currently use the XA100.5's. Have tried Pangea 9SE, Shunyata Black Mamba HC, and Kubala Expression & Emotion.

The Pangea 9SE was muddy sounding to me.
The Shunyata Black Mamba HC's provided a detailed sound, but was a bit lean to me.
The Kubala Expression were lacking in detail, but gave a warm sound.
The Kubala Emotions were a little less warm vs expression, but brought the right amount of musical detail back. Have been using them for the last 1.5 years.

I do want to try at some point the Shunyata Alpha HC's. I had one hooked up to a amp for break-in and noted that the sound was less warm than the Kubala emotions, but the detail was improved. Not sure if it will be something I like/dislike, so an experiment for the future .

Hope this helps,
Jimmy.

Black Mamba are pcocc
I use them and I also use pcocc by Acoustic Revive
Try changing your black mamba connectors to Furutech , the copper ones with gold or rhodium plating
Or changing out the wall socket for a copper Furutech in gold or rhodium

Nordost power cables made a big difference to my 260.5 monoblocks.
Greater clarity, detail, bass tightness with sweeter treble.
The difference was not subtle.
