It was a rather entertaining game of soccer. The USA dominated the match in terms of serious chances, but Japan had longer possession of the ball. In my view I think Japan simply made most of their chances and given that they were quite smaller physically, they certainly gave away a lot in height which is important in soccer, they should be congratulated for not giving up and playing it out to the very last second. Both teams provided for some very exciting moments.

In the end, Japan's goal-keeper was the difference. Blocking that first penalty-kick with her trailing leg, set the tone for the remainder of the penalty kicks.

All-in-all this was a rather very interesting and entertaining World Cup, even if Canada played like chumps..(0-3).

Bravo to Japan, .. they did defeat the mighty Germans, the incredible Swedes and USA, the number 1 rated team, on their way to winning the FIFA World Cup.

Should make for an interesting rematch at the Olympics next year.
