Default Suggestions of HT passthrough pre-amp for 2-channel listening

Calling on collective AA experience for suggestions for adding a pre-amp to a HT kit (MX121 with MC8207 amp) to enhance 2-channel listening from digital sources. Right now considering Mac equipment such as the C2600.

Thanks - excellent suggestions! My dealer will allow an in-house trial of the C2600. I’m inclined to do so. They also are a dealer of Parasound equipment. I have not heard much about them on AA but the recommendation is expanding my considerations. I hope I am able to give them a trial, as well.
