Congrats! The 802D3 are superb! Enjoy!

After over 12 years of audio hiatus, finally decided it’s time to do some upgrades. Just placed an order for piano black 802 D3 + HTM1 D3 to replace the aging 803S + HTM3S. Will keep the 805S for now to serve the surround duty. Although I am still quite ok with my current gears, I am very excited about the upgrade given the huge improvement from the B&W generation gap.

Next step, pre and power amp. I am currently looking at Accuphase, Esoteric, Chord, Pass Labs and Octave. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers!

My favorite (and currently in use) is with monoblocked Benchmark AHB2 amps.

I still have my 805s. Can't bear to part with them. Still a great speaker in its own right and still love the yellow midrange woofer.

Thanks guys for your recommendations! Received my speakers in January, the 802s are breaking in nicely, mids and highs are an immediate step up from my old speakers, bass is also coming along quite well.

I have started auditioning pre and pro, demo Ayre, McIntosh, Bryton and Accuphase so far. Will demo Esoteric, Octave, Pass Labs, ARC and Gryphon next week....I feel like a kid in a candy store, too many good gears, wish I could have them all but I can only pick one~

So far, Accuphase is leading the pack..will report back on my final choice and my thoughts on them. Thanks again for all of your assistance!

Hello, so great you like the 802`s! I run mine with the T+A PA 3100 HV Integrated with good results. You might want to give it a try.

Happy hunting!
