Thanks Priaptor - these are great news for REF150 lovers as me. I always found it to be the best value for money of the Reference models - powerful enough for most existing speakers and great sound quality.

I agree. If my GS150 is an indicator of what to expect from the REF150SE it will be a true "bargain"

I would be very happy if it sounded like the GS150!

I believe delivery of "new" begins in March but not sure of upgrades. |

Thanks Max. That is most appreciated. My dealer is closed today, but I will try to get more info from both them and ARC too. At the time that I bought my amp, I did ask about upgrades with the KT-150s, but told that nothing had been established yet so I took a chance and bought it.

Most interesting, however I seriously doubt whether the $'s mentioned would include upgraded Iron!??!?

That's one of my thoughts too and questions the feasibility of upgrading present Reference models; especially accommodating the extra physical height of the KT-150 in some present models.

RLF....Unfortunately it would seem that the REF75 is the only model from the line where physical head room is a problem. I would hazard a guess that we are looking at a number of component value changes to PSU and Bias, in order to optimise the Utilization of the KT150.

It would be most welcome were the SE upgrade to impart a degree of the same in an Reference line amplifier. |
