I too question this. Why is it that the speaker cable has greater impact than the interconnect? In my experience, the SC is more impactful upon SQ than the interconnect for sure.

Since the interconnect carries a small, unamplified signal, wouldn’t it be more susceptible to signal degradation from a lesser cable?

+1 for me as well. Swapping a power cable on my source or preamp ALONE shifts the system sound profoundly. For me, the more upstream you go with high quality power cables the more of a difference it makes.

I agree speaker cables too make a lot of difference, but not as much as power cables.

Is it silly to spend more money on a power cord that goes from the power “distributor” to the component than the component itself ??
