I am looking at the same combination : Moon 340i/280D with Focal 1028BE's. Are you getting any kind or brightness/harshness in the highs? What DAC are you using? Having read some comments about the hyper resolution and the tendency of the Beryllium tweeter to get bright, I am a little bit hesitant. I listen to a lot of rock, punk, metal, electronica and indie lo-fi stuff...
I just saw this today 5-4-18 I am now using the Mytek Brooklyn DAC with the PrimaLuna and the 1028's. This combo is by far the best I have. The Mytek and the PL is a very good combo. No harshness; however I do lean towards bright and still using tidal hifi. The mytek brings out the clarity with out the harshness, no fatigue even after extended listing sessions.

I'm using Audia Flight FLS 10 with Sopra 2s. This combo has great synergies.

I'm driving a pair of 1028's with a McIntosh MC302/C2300 combination and they sound amazing. I mostly stream Spotify premium using a Lumin D2.

Driving my new Sopra #3s with a Bryston SP3 in a multi-channel setup. See my earlier thread about the No 3 purchase. Also have the Sopra center, and a pair of JL
fathom 112s. Only about 150 hrs max, but they sound very good.

Looking forward to some more break-in, and talking to Ivan about upgrading to a 4B cubed, and maybe replacing my BDP1 with a BDP3.

Started out with a Rotel RA-1592. Sounded weak. Upgraded to Sim Audio 280D, 350P, 330A. Love it. Got a PrimaLuna Integrated DiaLogue Premium HP. Loved it. Thinking about trading the 280D and 350P in on a 390 Preamp/Streamer and dual 400M Power Amps.

Anyway, the PrimaLuna is on my B&W 703 in the basement office/shop system.

The Sim Audio + Focal Aria really are a magical combo. Very very very deep and detailed. It can be a little dry and empty on soul less recordings. But, when something is truly magical they shine and sound amazing. I've been listening to a lot of Bakersfield country the last couple of weeks and just got done listening to Dwight Yoakam's Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc. and wow just fantastic stuff. The PrimaLuna is much smoother and less analytical with more forgiveness to poor recordings, which make it great for the basement system.

Default Bryston 4B3 of 2@7B3?

Upgrading my amplification for my front L/R speakers for two channel purposes. Going to stick with Bryston, as I am very pleased with them.

Oh, yes, the speakers are Sopra No3s

Currently using a 5 channel 9Bsst2 @ 135 WPC. Any thoughts on the advantages of going to a pair of 7B3 monoblocks @ 600 WPC vs a 4B3 stereo amp @ 300 WPC?

I don't listen at very loud volumes, but my understanding is the increased capacitance of the power supply and extra reserves of more watts will help at reasonable volumes also.

Thoughts, please?
