Default Garage Floor Mats

Does anyone use mats under their vehicles when parked in the garage?I am looking for something that will capture the snow and dirt that falls from the cars which occurs mainly during the winter months.

After researching a couple of options I decided to have a polyaspartic floor coating added to our garage floor. The result was very good looking and should hold up better than acrylic or epoxy.

We will still have to deal with the crap that accumulates during the winter months so I started looking for a heavy duty mat, probably with three raised sides to be placed under each vehicle. So far I haven't found anything that looks sufficiently sturdy via the net. I know those of you who live in warmer climates don't have to deal with these issues but then again some may live off a direct access road.

Any suggestions?

It's not the most elegant solution but I use a large piece of cardboard which works quite well. I didn't put it there so much to catch the crap but to cushion my old knees when I need to kneel on the floor to work on something.

I use this brand and have been very impressed with the quality and ease of installation / customization.

The best but most complex solution is to place a drywell with a drain cover under each car slot in the garage and grade the floor slightly to pitch the melting snow into the drywell beneath each car. You don't even need big drywells. 30 gallons is plenty under each car.

I think about this every year and have never done it, but in my heart I know it is the thing to do. A couple of cars with wheel wells full of melting snow can make puddles in the garage if it isn't well pitched to outdoors--and even then, the melting snow in the garage will freeze at the garage door threshold. The drywells are the way to go.

I am looking for something like this. It would be a better option if the front and sides were a bit taller. When I had the floor coated I did not anticipate that water (say condensation from the AC) would no longer be absorbed as it is with bare concrete. It sits on top waiting to evaporate. I guess I will be doing a lot squeegeeing. It sure looks a lot better.
