I'm sure you will be very, very happy. Especially with what you have planned.

if they can make one better than the Technics at that price point(which I doubt) than yes. As I stated in one of Serge's threads, doing it again, I'd buy this one and call it a day ...............

Here is a good example of diminishing returns in audio. Michael Fremer comparing the SL-1200G to a $120k Continuum Caliburn. Obviously he is vehemently trying to point out the differences in sound but you be the judge...

Too funny! Not far from the truth either.

For what it's worth, I actually did take it seriously and listened carefully through a DAC and headphones and at the end preferred the sound of the Technics to the Caliburn... Lucky me!

Maybe more important is your choice of cartridge. What are you thinking?

Currently a Dynavector Karat 17D3. It only has 20 hours on it. Might consider a step up the food chain though.

I took a look at the Technics TT today. Build quality is as good but not better than the Luxman. The arm is the weak point of this table. While I was there I saw the first Acoustic Signature XX to arrive in North America. It’s incredible. This particular one is going to AXPONA in April. More should arrive soon.

Decisions decisions.
