I have Stillpoints under and between both units of my C1100 and it sounds great to me. I also use a Symposium shelf under the Stillpoints on the bottom to isolate even more which is even more pleasing to me.

Isolation via a product such as Stillpoints aims to eliminate micro vibration in our equipment. In the case of Stillpoints, direct the vibration away from the equipment and convert it to heat. Think about it. In a room with lots of energized sound waves bouncing about, almost everything in the room will be vibrating to some extent. We go to lengths trying to isolate our equipment from this vibration or at least reduce it.
