Cool. Thanks for the confirmation and information.

Was that season 1 episode 10 about 11 minutes in (Just stated watching it this week)? Had to say if so with the lighting so bad. But the tube configuration did look that of a MC240/275 tube amp. Also I think the TT is a Marantz.

100% McIntosh, later in the same episode Bosch walks into his house with his daughter and bam, there it is.

I was just thinking while scrolling though this, "great movie" "great TV Show. Is there a strong connection between McIntosh gear in a movie or show and it being a good show?

The Stepford Wives probably has the largest single showing of McIntosh in any movie to date - looks like they consulted Ivan for the system. I think the connection is that McIntosh lighted faceplates, chrome chassis, and blue meters just come across as really nice gear on the screen.

And it's not just movies and shows. Look closely in this screen shot of a Kayak commercial.

Indeed. I just came across this movie and after running through 11 pages of posts found THE DEPARTED to be among the first movies featuring McIntosh to be mentioned. Another Jack Nicholson inspiration!

Now here's a great little documentary circa 1970 about the FAME Studios (Fayette Alabama Music Enterprises -- I just learned that). At the 20:44 mark you can see a C-22 preamp. Nice!
