Default Fat pads or Rollerblock jr

I would like to try some Fat pads or Rollerblock Jr's under my DAC. Do they essentially have the same damping effect or is one better for certain components than the other? The DAC is light but has a huge PC that makes it want to move a little so they cannot be prone to sliding. I am using some rubber right now and hoping to get better results from a product professionally designed to reduce the vibrations.

Lou.......I am auditioning some Rollerblock Jr.'s that will be here tomorrow. I plan to try them first under my MCD500, and then my MS750 music server. I am on the fence about isolation for gear other than a turntable, but I am going to approach the audition with an open mind. Like any audio enthusiast I want to get the very best performance from the gear I use, so if something like Symposium FatPadz's, Rollerblock Jr.'s, or Roller Block Series 2 isolation tweaks actually raise the bar of performance for my components then I will use them. If I hear no improvement, or a change in sound that is something other than beneficial, I will reject them. We shall find out.

Thanks Dan, looking forward to your opinion. Seeing you already have a glimpse of doubt you will not be inclined to like them just because in your mind you want them to work. It will be interesting and probably costly if you come back with a favorable review.

Cyril.......Fat Padz retail for $179 for a set of three. Rollerblock Jr.'s retail for $169 for a set of three, or $219 for a set of three with the Tungsten balls. The Symposium Rollerblock Series 2 isolation devices retail for $399 for a set of three.

Symposium makes some great products. Have them under all my gear except the amp. Never tried the Fat Padz, but have the Ultra Padz, Ultra platform, RollerBlock Jr's. and Roller Block series 2.

I have some Herbie's Iso-Cups and a set of RollerBlock Jr's loaned out to another member in order to try them out. If you would like to try them when he is done-shoot me a pm with your address.
