Wouldn't you want your pristine Magicos to be guaranteed bit perfect playback as the artist intended!

That's like asking a Howitzer if it cares if someone spits and shines the shell!

Also Rob Wasserman Duets K2 HD CD mastering 533-427-3 I have a spare unopened copy which I could FS if you can't find it.

These will get some more play soon to help the new cables along when they go in.
I believe in the Isotek Full System Enhancer cd which uses specially developed algorithms using a mathetmatical formula, including a demagnetizing function which covers the full frequency spectrum including low bass.

Speaking of which, i've found the perfect way to help loosen up those 10" bass drivers...Bourne Trilogy movies!
Good idea. Unfortunately I can't use Blue-ray tracks in my 2-channel system yet. I like playing Shostakovich's, such as Sym no.5 (2nd mov), no. 8 (3rd mov). The good thing is I also enjoy the music enormously.

this is the only burn in CD I use. Particularly effective for burn in of electronics (10 times faster than with normal CDs). Shocking how much the sound out of my APL NWO-Master CD player improved

Cheers,
The bass was obviously more powerful and deeper than the S1, but not completely natural; it stuck out a little like separate (albeit very high quality and reasonably well-integrated) subwoofers. Absolutely, this could possibly be attributed to the room and (to a lesser degree) tube amp. It wasn't poorly integrated bass; just not perfectly integrated as I'd experienced with the S1 or Tannoys in the same room. My gold standard for perfectly integrated, powerful, and extended bass is the Tannoy Yorkminster SE.

Sure, the S5 may be a touch overwhelming for that particular room. Also, I'm guessing the S5 might do much better with a top-class SS amp.

The mids and treble on the S5 were wonderful like with the S1. These speakers somehow impart the feeling of a touch of organic warmth, while otherwise being dead neutral. No listening fatigue whatsoever.
