No, I am considering, have heard wonderful things about these. BASS & resolution out of this world. BASS is where both the HD800 & T1 fall short.

I feel that stable voltage & power conditioning is going to be a basic requirement as we continue to provide energy to a growing population. Plus it's an area where manufacturers of electronics can save money due to dependance of what was considered stable clean energy supply

A nice integrated (McIntosh, SimAudio, Luxman, etc), a Olive 4HD or 6HD, and a pair of stand mounts (Focal Micro Utopia Be or similar)

Headphones just don't do it for me, the music is in my head and doesn't impact the body or energize the room.

Jim

Something like this W4S Mini-Integrated (mINT) - Integrated Amplifiers - DAC 2 Digital, High Definition Amplifiers, Stereo Pre Amp Audio Equip

As for speakers, it would be highly dependent on the room.

I have a slate gray Model 88CD by Henry Kloss sitting on my night stand next to the bed. I purchased it new about 12 years ago. It is a sweet sounding table radio and CD player. Henry Kloss designed a separate subwoofer into it with an independent level control located on the rear. The Model 88CD has a clean and strong bottom end that is impressive for its physical dimensions. The FM radio is quite sensitive, pulling in distant stations with ease. The Model 88CD also has a left and right channel aux input, and tape output. I use the Model 88CD primarily as a clock radio to wake me up with a CD of my choice instead of the alarm tone or radio. The Model 88CD fills the room with surprisingly good sound from FM and compact disc. If this was my only source of music, I could happily live with it.

W4S Mint, Sonos, and some nice stand mounts sure sounds like a nice simple system.

Here's mine. It can be used both inside and out. Pretty basic...

If I absolutely had to I could live with the sound from my current computer audio system:

Computer streaming from MOG and playing FLAC files ripped from optical drive through NHT M-00 satellite speakers and S-00 subwoofer controled by PVC (passive volume control):

Mike,

Just more of a hypothetical question... I just like to start these kinds of conversations....

Kinda reminds me of back in the day when, as a kid, I would read the stereo mags and they would put systems together...$1k,5K and what seemed like at the time the unubtainian $10k system...

I really love music and simple systems...

To think with a S5 Sonos Player and an iphone and Rhapsody you can access almost all of the music ever recorded...amazing.
