I'm starting to get a little paranoid after experiencing a few power guard trips of late so I've pulled the pin & ordered one of these. I will post further on this thread in due course. I have a feeling that the GL KT88 reissues longevity is not all that great as I hit the 1500hr mark.

Thanks for the links Dan.... Look forward to it. We are working out the freight details, so it shouldn't be too long before I get my hands on "the football".

This unit should also be able to provide assurance on all purchases whether that be reissues or NOS & exercise recourse if necessary. Nothing like having your own litmus paper to verify what you are buying is of specification to begin with.

I don't even own a real tube amp (maybe a little one) but I want the tester anyway
