I like how 4ohm section of the meter goes to 400w instead of 320w :-)

The chrome faceplate scratches easily. Not a good design IMO.

Personally, I was hoping for a true kt88 replacement for the ma2275. I think the ma352 looks cool. Obviously the ma252 sold well if Mc is willing to continue down this “new platform” path. I guess the success of the ma252 proved out the new look.

That's because it provided poor sound. I tried tube rolling in mine for a couple of months before giving it back. Frank Gow warned me going in............ should have listened.

Like the MA252, the MA352 appeals to me visually. Do wonder about the hum issue that many seem to have suffered with the MA252 and wonder if McIntosh has gotten a handle on same. Am guessing that at around twice the $$ as the MA252 we will not hear from as many folks on the MA352.

I totally disagree with this statement and I know there are others that do too. Maybe you didn’t like yours but I loved mine and wish I still had it. I also remember the MA2275 receiving favorable reviews when it came out. I don’t remember which magazine reviewer it was because now it has been several years but I remember that the reviewer ended up keeping the MA2275 for himself.

I wondered the same thing as I returned two 252 with hum issues. I thought it was comical when I asked about the issue with Mc support. They asked if I had a dealer set it up, lol.
Seriously, you plug it in and attach speaker cables.....

Here's what I fail to grasp - if the MA2275 was such a great unit, why are all its owners previous ones? That's not a knock, as I've never heard one, simply an observation.

Giving mine up wasn’t a decision made because I wanted to, I needed funds for a remodeling project and sold my entire McIntosh system and Aerial speakers. When I later had funds to get back into audio, the MA2275 was no longer available and I couldn’t source a nice used one so I had to move on. There’s plenty of great McIntosh equipment that people sell for one reason or another and that doesn’t mean it sounds bad or that all owners are previous ones. Take for example the anniversary MC75, people have sold those and then later regretted it, does that mean they sound bad or that everyone sold theirs? Your argument would say so. I would argue that due to the rarity of a used MA2275 it shows that the people who own them like them and don’t want to give them up.
