Default YG Acoustics, the world's greatest speakers

Hey guys,

I just spent two days at the YG Acoustics factory in Denver, you know the company who's ads say "the worlds best speakers"...

Well, they are pretty awesome! I'll be getting a pair for review soon and as much as I hate the "B" word, these are certainly the most musically revealing speakers I've heard with no limitations at ALL.

Everything you'd want a speaker to do, they do and nothing you don't want. I listened to a pair of Wilson X-2's side by side and it wasn't even in the same league; the X-2 sounded veiled and muffled in comparison.

I know there are some pretty killer systems on this forum. If you are looking for a speaker in the $35-$105K range (they make three speakers in this range), you owe it to yourself to go to a dealer, or make a pilgrimage to Denver, as this is the most amazing speaker I've had the pleasure to listen to.

Watch for a full review in our August issue.

YG Acoustics
When I heard them at RMAF last October, I thought they along with the Grand Utopia EM's they were some of the best sounding speakers there.

The Kipods are really cool too. I was blown away by those speakers. I never expected something that small to have such a HUGE sound.

Again, I'm sure everyone will have their opinion on what "the best" speaker is, but I strongly advise you to listen to a pair of these if you are considering purchasing something at this price point. YG is definitely one of the top five and when you read our full review, that ties in with the factory visit and see the level of quality that goes into them, I think you will be very impressed.

Speakers aside, one of the things that impressed me the most was the attitude of their creator. We talked about a lot of great speakers and he was very complimentary of the best speakers in the business and has spent a lot of time studying them.

Even if you end up choosing one of the others, I think you will agree that the YG's are fantastic!

Jeff, if the Alexandria X2 sounds muffled and veiled, I'd hate to imagine what the other 99% of the speakers out there would sound like by this scale.
