Default Another Fuji Night Shot: View on a Big Display
This time its The City from Treasure Island taken with the little Fuji X-A1 and the 27 mm pancake! This lens impresses me the more I use it.

Yes, this is the little Fuji 27mm pancake lens f/2.8 for the X-A1, not the big new 23mm f/1.4 I posted with last night at the Apple Store.

It seems to be getting a lot of likes on Facebook presently. Unfortunately, it's downsampled a lot, so folks are not getting the true effect of scale. You should see it in Lightroom full-screen mode on my Apple 27" Thunderbolt display.

There's always some editing done in post for every shot and every camera I use.

Standard workflow is white balance correction, sharpening appropriate to content and camera (I try to use a little as possible to obtain a "natural" level of detail), setting black and white point to set levels. I also often use a plug in from Topaz Labs called Clarity to perform micro-contrast and color enhancements. Typicially it is the preset called "low contrast and color pop 1" (there are a whole bunch of presets, ranging from very little to over the top changes. I also apply some noise reduction depending on lighting and ISO, most frequently in the luminance channel, very occasionally using the color noise reduction slider.
