Which raises an interesting question: what would be better, 1M of the Auditorium, or 0.5M of the Shindo IC between amp and preamp? Given they would cost close to the same.

It took less than a week for me to decide to buy them and even though I find cable purchases to be one of the least rewarding ones (I can't even see them) I am very happy I have them and recommend them highly to anyone with Shindo components. Alberto |

Well, FWIW, I've been happy with the 1M Shindo interconnects that I have. I think they provide a nice balance to my tubed set-up. I also use a .5M Auditorium A23 IC for my SUT. The one thing that jumped out for me with both was how they provided a layer of darkness and corresponding naturalness that I found to be spot on. The A23 might be a tad darker or warmer than the Shindo, but the Shindo does sound "right", and definitely NOT glaring.
At the end of the day, whatever your budget will permit will not result in a disappointment. Both the Shindo and Auditorium cables are great. As for the original post to this topic, I'm glad to read that the $2,200/foot quoted price was a typo! But I still find its per meter price prohibitive for me. The Auditorium speaker product is spectacular, and I've not desired anything else since putting them in my set-up. In fact, my other speaker cables, which included some WW and Zu, were sold via e-bay and Audiogon. That's how much I love the Auditorium. Last edited by FranklinLG; 01-29-2012 at 10:33 PM. |

Hi all, Sorry if I missed this--are the Interconnects RCA only?--or is there a balanced version.

DesW,
We'd need PPA's Mattie to chime in, but I would expect that the Shindo could be terminated XLR. I do know that they do XLR to RCA, as I am ordering that with my new Pre-amp. And I believe Shindo has at least 1 current amp that is XLR. So it would appear that there is an XLR-XLR. I would expect the same with Auditorium |
