I fully qualified that I can hear a difference, but that another user may hear a difference. I then further qualified that a high quality USB cable would further help in longer runs. The comparison was also between different levels of WW cables and cheapos, not by comparing length. So your accusation of contradiction is further nullified. You are spot-on, however, in your assessment of isolating the 5v connectivity being extremely important - which is where high end manufacturers like WW and Oyaide (and others) have pulled ahead.

Whew! I was wondering. It could be done with extenders/hub or whatever.
Yeah, I bet better cables definitely pull ahead at longer lengths as well. |
