The choral fantasy is a beautiful piece, although the chorus doesn’t even appear until a few minutes from the end of the last movement. The Triple is excellent as well, with solo instruments and orchestra well balanced. This may not replace my Karajan/Rostropovich/Oistrakh/Richter on vinyl, but it’s certainly worth having in the collection.

I went crazy and purchased the Berlioz, Brahms, Mozart and Verdi Requiems.

Chopin
Sonate no.3
Scherzo no.1 et2
Alexis Weissenberg Piano
The Magnapans are alive, it is an interesting play. A bit slower than played by others but the intricate play is amazing and thoughtful. A very worthy listen!!

There is a Muffat piece on this nice disc too.
Discrete multi-channel recording.

Time again for a bit of Biber tonight.
