Default Seeking advise on speaker selection

I am kinda getting the itch for some different speakers and was wondering what Dynaudios to explore.

Current amplification is CJ CA200. Room size is 13x23x8. Current speakers are B&W Matrix 802s with Northcreek crossovers. Source material is primarily cds.

Musical tastes vary from rock, blues, jazz. More acoustic than electric sounds.

Where should I start. There are several dealers in town so hopefully I can get a taste of what's out there soon.

Focus 380

They're big enough to fill your room and also use the Esotar tweeter from the Confidence series.

I would probably jump up from the Focus line to the Contour line and check out the S5.4.

The Esotar2 tweeter is only on the Contour 5.4S and above in Dynaudio's lineup.m

My mistake...I just checked and it's also on the Focus380. Sorry. Should learn to confirm before running my mouth.

I think Contour S 5.4 retails for $10K or Focus 380 for approx. $9500 retail, I love my C1 Sigs. Dynaudio speakers are pretty power hungry unless you get to the top couple of speakers.

DynAudio's are excellent, but you can get a pair of used Revel Salon 2's for $10k and that would be a great set of speakers (some say the best) under $25k. But, it's subjective of course. Maggie 3.7's with a good sub (or two) is another choice....but they require a boat load of power - even more than the Salon 2's or DynAudios. B&W 802d's - would stretch your budget, but are also nice. There is also the regular culprits like the Gallo Ref 3.5 and Golden Ear Triton Towers. All in the middle or lower middle of your budget. If it was me? Salon 2's all the way.....but I'm biased!

FWIW, there's no intercap in Dynaudio.
