Wow, Joe they are beautiful in that finish. Must sound spectacular with the 911's too. What a luxury to swap in and out such magnificent pieces of equipment, cool. Thx for sharing the experience!

Greg,

Thank you very much. I have to say the finish on the C1's is probably (no, definitely) better than the CR-1's. They still have a long way to go for break in but they really sound great. I am having a ton o' fun tasting all this gear. I never really realized how critical it is to match gear for the sound you like. A mellow speaker need a faster amp, etc.

It is also my pleasure to share with you guys. We understand why this is so important to us, not many people get "it". Beautiful music soothes the soul.

"I FELL ASLEEP PLAYING MUSIC LAST NIGHT"

I thought it was just me that fell asleep while listening. It is rare that I don't take at least a short nap while listening to music. I have been doing that for years now. Must be the calming effect of controlled "noise"

Nice speakers Joe !!!!

Thanks!

The better the system, the quicker I fall asleep. It relaxes me tremendously . If you have a great system, do not invite me over to listen.

Joe, so cool to see Dynaudio C1 Signature speakers gracing your fine system. You are a man that doesn't sit still! I have owned my C1's since Febuary and I absolutely love them --- paired up with a pair of REL B2s --- the sound is divine. Enjoy!

Thanks!

I was very excited when you got your C1's. They have been on my mind ever since. I have the F113's but wish I had gone for the RELs. They really are awesome and I can't wait until they break in.

Joe,

your speakers have a very low sensitivity!

IMPEDANCE - 4 ohm
SENSITIVITY - 85 dB (2,83V/1m) -> 82 dB (1W/1m)

At this point the test with 911MK3 is fundamental.

Wow! I did not realize it was that low, but it makes sense that I had to turn up the volume to get a similar sound output. The 911's will certainly be required. I can't wait.

My Dynaudio Contour S3.4s are about the same, i.e. 86 db (2,83V/1m). They definitely love to have lots of power, but they will sound very good at low to moderate volumes with less.

Joe: congrats on a great pair of speakers.
