Default driving Sennheiser 800s?

Likely a stupid question, but that never stopped me. I would like to purchase a pair of Sennheiser 800s, but want to make sure that my Accuphase C3800 will drive them sufficiently. Accuphase specs say that they will drive headphones of 8 ohms or above, but appreciate real world practical advice and experience. I do not want (can't) buy a separate headphone amp due to lack of space, $$, and spousal consent.

Thanks in advance. WC

Must have been a stupid question, so I bought them and they sound great.

I believe the impedance of the HD800 are around 300 ohms so you're fine. Perhaps consider a quality dedicated headphone amplifier for the future, the Senns then will really shine.

Congrats! I've only had mine for a couple weeks. They are fantastic headphones. Keep your eyes out for a deal on the companion HDVA 600 amp. You will thank me later!

Did you mean HD800s (plural of HD800) or HD800S - the new upgraded model?

The original non-upgraded model - seemed a better bang for my buck.

Finally spending some quality time with the streamer (Auralic Altair) and the Sennheiser rig. I'm very impressed at how solid this DAC is over wifi. Having access to my NAS library in the bedroom is a big plus.
