I've just fitted the microswitch, the light is yet to be fitted, perhaps tomorrow.

Thanks for the nice words, the excellent woodwork was made and fitted by a local cabinet maker several years ago. All the connections are via a concealed panel in the adjacent room with some underfloor routing. The lady of the house doesn't want to many visible cables and I agree.

Very beautiful rack. What is the sonic character of this one? Can you describe it? Looks like very thick acrylic.

To all....beautiful racks and great way to organize the gear; also, a great survey of the many materials and approaches to this very personal part of the hobby!

Sea Music, I see Bluesound Node 2 on top. I ordered one and waiting for delivery just for Tidal and MQA. What do you think of its sound quality, please.

The sound quality of the Bluesound is excellent. It is just a notch off of the
Aurender. Of course I am using the Mcintosh Dac with both. I did try the Bluesound Dac once and it sounded good I just preferred the Dac in the
Mcintosh. I find however I only use it for the internet radio which is also
very good. My son figured out how to do that through the Aurender but I
like format in the Bluesound for radio. I honestly do not use the Bluesound for
Tidal because the Conductor app on the Aurender is worth half the price of the
unit IMO. For the money the Bluesound is a very good value and quality gear.
Also very easy to install and get up and running.
