Rabun, thanks for the review. A very enjoyable read. Let us know your impressions in about 200 hours and when you get a good DAC.

Is is just me or is one of the bass drivers installed incorrectly? its rotated... the "dimples" should be top and bottom center.

Yes, one of drivers is rotated about 20 degrees left. I wrote message to TAD and waiting reply from them. BTW, the manual shows that monitors could be installed both vertical and horizontal, so ... I think that is not a big deal, but still waiting responce from TAD.

I am very excited with these monitors.

He-he, reanimated old ruined notebook: put new HD drive and reinstalled OS. Next step is DAC and dedicated HTPC. Did not decided yet HD-plex or Streacom.

And this kind of Chinese quality control is exactly why I never purchased the Evolutions

Yeah, You are right.

BTW, does anybody know how to contact them. The e-mail address from their site does not reply.

He-he, TAD support is not good, and I lost that battle.

I send several messages to their support center, called them several times, and even had a conversation with woman, who collected my contacts and told me that TAD representative will contact them soon. I filled request form on PIONEER website, and here I did have long conversation with some person by e-mail. She wasn't very creative, and all her messages did look like : I am so sorry, I will resend Your request to TAD center, sorry for unconvinience. So, I gave up on that.

BTW, I like these speakers soo much.

I just got a pair last week in Bangkok, it appeared to be the last one in stock.
I drive them with my Gamut D200i clone that usually drive my Nola KO speakers.

The result is astonishing, it made my $9,900 Nola KO sound muffled.

TAD won it with its transparent midrange, the voice of the singer is so clear and articulate, everything is crisp like watching HDTV (not yet UltraHD though)
However, Nola KO is still unrivaled in the depth of image and soundstage area since it is open baffled design, and also it offers better bass.
