Thanks for the support. I won't give up and will have my dealer make another visit, and then perhaps contact Wilson Audio as a last resort.

I'm sure you will be happy in the end. It is a fantastic speaker.

Hello - Did I read that the dealer set the speakers in place and dialed them in? Was this a Wilson dealer? Curious what’s driving the two non-equal distances from the seating area? Also wondering If the room is treated at all? You do have amazing speakers, and this will be made right soon enough, although it may seem like an eternity it’s not. We are all here for you! |

That's potentially what you're hearing in the treble. It is bad enough that in the last (useless) paragraph where JA (if he needs to completely ignores the measurements and) blows sunshine up the manufacturer’s butt, even he has to grudgingly note how bad the waterfall plot is: But there's a lot to admire in the Alexx's measured performance—as well as some things that raised my eyebrows, such as its waterfall plot and amplifier-punishing impedance. Good luck. |

Besides, low and punishing impedance and demanding amplifier loads are nothing new with Wilson speakers and anyone spending over $100k on a speaker would be able to afford a proper matching amplifier. Not that I haven’t heard various Wilson’s driven by low powered tubes or wasn’t ecstatic with D’Agostino Momentum monos myself on the other end of the spectrum. Utter nonsense that review was. |

I should add that I had the same sonic concerns I expressed in my initial post about the Alexx when hearing them prior to purchase. I simply assumed their bass would be better than the Alexia, and the dealer told me the listening room was bass deficient. Maybe this is just how they are going to sound regardless? I'll work thru my dealer 1st,then Wilson. I guess a last resort is trading back down to Alexias.
