Sure he will. Brad Pitt had Jennifer Anniston and Angelina Jolie, and he's still looking. The chase never ends. Thats the fun part.

It is true. I never thought that I would sell the YG's. I am sure I am going to miss many aspects of their sound. I really hope I can settle down with the Strads for the long haul. It is going to be interesting to find out how they perform with the Burmester 911, especially in terms of bass control since most use them with valve amps. |

I am hoping that these characteristics will play to the strengths of the Strads. It is important to me that bass is agile and fast. I don't want a slow ponderous sound. |

Douglas, all the Burmester-Sonus Faber systems I've heard so far were a good match.
You'll be okay... for the next couple of months.

My Strads arrived yesterday, and all my expectations have been exceeded. All my fears have instantly been alleviated from the first few notes.
The sound is so different than what I expected. The words that come to mind are, explicit, fast, raw, agile and insanely musical. I positioned them with a tweeter to tweeter distance of 2.4 meters and toe-in is set to cross about 50cm behind my head. It sounded instantly right, with the Strads disappearing completely, with amazing soundstage and focus. What shocked me beyond all expectation is the amazing bass. It is the fastest, tightest most agile bass I have ever experienced in my room. There is absolutely no overhang, and running Stereophile's Test CD, there is useful extension right down to 20 Hz. Vocals are to die for and projection is astounding. The speakers produce live concert dynamics and I have never heard such dynamics and output when a singer changes vocal intensity. Transient attack is startling, incredible jump factor. There is not a hint of unnatural warmness or romanticism at the expense of natural musicality. The Burmester 911 is coming into its own with the Strads and is a match made in heaven. I suspect much of the speed and tight punchy bass is due to the 911. It seems that the Strads has particular synergy in my room. I feel very lucky indeed. I have listened basically non-stop since yesterday afternoon. I have found my dream speaker, total heaven….The Strads deserve their reputation…..and much more! And…….it is simply the most beautiful speaker ever designed.
