I sold my MC275 VI for the same reason as you, loved the sound but there was something missing. I got a good deal on an MC402, I'm very happy with the change.

You will be fine with a 15 A circuit for your gear. Unless you play electronica with the MC 352 meters pegged continuously. I’m thinking you don’t do that. The 12 amps is for both channels driven to rated output and represents a condition that will not occur in practice in a home listening environment. Tom

My guess is your system will not draw more then 4/5 amps, and that’s at a cranking volume

Reading up on your speaker it seems all the bass is handled through the DSP and internal amplifier. I wonder if the missing ingredient is a more bass heavy CJ amp rather then a deficiency in your MC152.
I would strongly suggest trying any new amp in your system before buying. You don’t really need any more power. I might suggest trying a MC275. I know it’s less power than your current amp but it might give you the missing secret sauce. Good luck. Mike S. |

By way of example, I really love my 300 wpc MA8000. But there's no denying the extra grip another couple hundred watts would deliver. In my view, I'd surmise the MC250 would still leave you feeling a bit short. So I agree with others, move up to 450 watts minimum. (Obviously if that's within your budget)
