I have always been looking for a seat that has a back low enough for the ears to be above it for acoustical reasons. Are your ears above the back of the chair when you are seated?

For the Imola Chair, the answer is no. But I usually listen until I fall asleep. So I'd nee d a chair that I can rest my head against when listening.

I have sat in a real one at "Design within Reach" and it was so comfortable but the black on black model was 6k. So I ordered a nice knock off from amazon and it is not the same at all...... spend the extra money and buy a real one!

Big fan of the Eames Chair.
Right now, I'm listening in an unfinished basement. Moved into our new home 4 years ago.
We are planning to finish the basement this Spring which means I will have a dedicated listening room once again.
The Eames chair (i too like the one you've chosen) is where my butt will be placed.

I went through a search myself. I really wanted a Stressless but didn't find them comfortable, just me I guess. They are ergonomic but lack the fat, plushy cushions I like. Went with a Pottery Barn Manhattan Recliner. Low back with plushy cushions and multiple useful reclining positions.
