Since Tannoy dual concentrics are two way speakers, what theory would that be?

speaking of 901-- which I believe has paper cone.. I visited my grandpops (distant) and I was impressed how much those old speaker sounded. If I'm not mistaken it was an old JBL or maybe sansui based on the cabinet. |

From ohmspeakers.com "The Ohm F was the most popular of the first generation Walsh speakers.* It used a 12'' inverted omnidirectional driver operating from 35 - 17,000 Hz." not sure if it had any other drivers but I don't think so.

Des.......The 15" driver I believe you are refering to is a duplex driver with a high frequency driver built into the center of the woofer.

I haven't heard the Lafite. It appears to be a transmission line loaded 8" field coil driver in some sort of diffraction nightmare cabinet. An 8" driver playing full range will start to beam @ 2-3K and will have a very small sweet spot.

For OP, try a pair of these? I have never heard them but these puppies looks sick.
Feastrex There are reviews on the Feastrex drivers if you google. There are quite a few of FullRanger out there for the DIY segments. I dig Mark Audio Alpair but the Tang Band FR driver are very good too. Super human speaker whisperer.
