Dizzy; Birk's Works. Is it just me, or did BeBop come along to do away with Big band cliche crescendo's? No thanks, though things improve later in the disc. Not his finest hour, though he times his solo's well.

Chick Corea - Return to Forever
Another fusion centerpiece. I have to be in the right mood for this one, mostly because I find Flora Purim's vocals unappealing. That is a shame because I think everyone else does a fine job, especially Corea on piano and Stan Clark on bass. |

No problem. I like Sweet Baby James every now and then. The reissue on 180g vinyl has outstanding sound quality.
