This should best my older verve pressing.

Are you doing the Prestige series from AS?
Yes, mono and stereo both (#50). I also joined the Music Matters BN subscription in progress. I currently have about 30 of their titles.

Some great titles being released in these subscriptions.
Also great packaging. Wish they would have done the Prestige in 45RPM 2LP sets.

Dizzy; Birk's Works. Is it just me, or did BeBop come along to do away with Big band cliche crescendo's? No thanks, though things improve later in the disc. Not his finest hour, though he times his solo's well.

I'm perfectly happy with the 33 RPM releases. They have been excellent quality so far.

Chick Corea - Return to Forever

Another fusion centerpiece. I have to be in the right mood for this one, mostly because I find Flora Purim's vocals unappealing. That is a shame because I think everyone else does a fine job, especially Corea on piano and Stan Clark on bass.

I listen to side two now and then. I have a nice German pressing on 180g vinyl that sounds great. Agree about Flora Purim. The album could do well without her vocals.

No exclamation mark needed though.

No problem. I like Sweet Baby James every now and then. The reissue on 180g vinyl has outstanding sound quality.
