Default Classe CA-M300

There doesn't appear to be many reviews on the Classe CA-M300 monoblocks. Plenty of reviews on its bigger sibling the CA-M600 though. Just wondered if the 300 has the same sonic signature as the 600 but obviously less powerful? Also the worries about Classe's Chinese manufacture appears to be groundless in regards to continued great performance and reliability.

The CA-M300 and CA-2300 have the same signature. Since neither is fully balanced from input to output whereas the CA-M600 is, the signatures will differ slightly but may not be audible to an appreciable degree.

I don't think at is completely correct.

The CA-M300 is fully balanced.

I previously owned the CA-2300 and moved up to the CA-M300 and the difference was night and day.

I was expecting a small improvement, but the mono's were crushingly better. Dynamics and bass response were more then a small step up.

VinylPressing, this is a quote from an email to me received direct from Classe Audio tech department.

" Our un-bridged amplifiers of interest from the current Delta II lineup are: CA-M300 (monobloc) and the CA-2300 (stereo)"

Cheers,
Muke

I checked with Classe that I could safely ground and join together the loudspeaker negative terminals of the CA-M300 at my bass servo. Their answer was affirmative.

CA-M300 monoblocks arriving to my system this Friday. So liked their bass performance so thats their sole job. Top & mid well served by the excellent Manley Neo-Classic 250 mono's.

What a relief, the CA-M300 monos work exceptionally well with the Manley Neo-Classic 250 monoblocks. The Infinity RS1b's have never sounded so good. Amazingly tuneful & powerful bass from the Classe's as I'd expected. Its a really good feeling when a plan works out.
The only thing that bugs me now is the age of the active crossover (39 years) - I've contacted Bryston to ask if their active xover can be factory moded with the right xover frequencies.
