That is an awesome to only need to turn one component on or off.
So the gain structure procedure sets the amp so it will not go into clipping and damage the speakers. I learned something new. Thank you!
Will the amp show or say clipping on its screen?

Well, I do not belive that you will run at 80% on the volume. But this is to know when a amp is going into clipping and have a good headroom.

I think one can turn the limiters on/off on the amp. So don't forgett to turn it ON.

You see the clipping flashing on the output meters.

On my DCi amp driving the 4429 I have -6dB on my output level so the output meters is the same as my input meters. Same level.

I can monitor both input and output level on my amp.

Okay, thank you. I downloaded the user manual and will read. It seems like it has a lot of technology and for 650 watts and a weight under 15 lbs it seems paradoxical and a different approach to Mcintosh and the iron they are known for.

Yes, McIntosh is a great amplifier, no question about that. My brother drive a pair of 4312E with a XLS 1500 and it sure sounds great.

But I like the new look of the XLS Drivecore.

It does look nice too. I think it can fit on top of the preamp. If I were to get the Mc it would weigh to much for my cabinet I fear and for the price of the Crown, it's hard to not at least try.

Hallo!

It is not recommended to place above or under a preamplifier, read page 2 under Magnetic Field in owner manual.

Okay thanks. Being so small I can find another place for it pretty easy.

Yes you can and only by one hand.

Go to Lansing Heritage, there I have two threads, one 4429 and one 4365 where you can look at the pictures.

Can't post picture here.

The 4365's must be huge! They made the 4429's look tiny. What computer program is that that you used on post #4?
