Default Vinnie Rossi L2i Integrated amp

So the upgrade bug is biting at me, after 7 years with my Devialet 440Pro Ci

I have fallen in love with the Vinnie Rossi L2i integrated amp c/w Dac & Phono
and best of all, I have my wife's OK to purchase it

I currently own 803D3, knowing that B&W 8 series like a lot of power and the VR is only 100 wpc 8 ohm.
I am wondering if I will be able to make the B&W sing.

Anyone out there using a Vinnie Rossi amp with a set of B&W speakers.

Brian

I would highly recommend to have extensive listening tests of the combination B&W 803 D3 and Vinnie Rossi L2i.
The 803 D3 does match better with some amps than with others.
It might be a big step from Devialet semiconductor to Vinnie Rossi tubes, but you can take it for granted that you will clearly hear all the differences with the 803 D3.
And IMHO the specs of the L2i are far from being spectacular.

So today we had a 2hr home demo of a Vinnie Rossi L2iSE integrated amp, in my unfinished basement (carpet has been on backorder since 4 Oct)

We were very concerned that the VR L2iSE would not have the punch to make the B&W 803D3 sing, well it did

In comparison with our Devialet 440ProCi that sounds marvelous to VR L2iSE sounded better, that much better for both of us we placed an order for a
Black integrated amp with Dac & Phono.

So on the bright side, we get to keep our 803D3 and sadly have to lose our Devialet 440ProCi
