Default Beatles - Love them or Hate Them?

I was still in high school when the Beatles came to the USA. I remember them landing at Miami International Airport. Everyone wanted to skip school, and go to Miami to see them. Crazy days.

I have been a Beatles fan for a long time, all the way back to their appearence on the Ed Sullivan show on black and white TV. As it turmed out, they were an incredible influence on the music industry, and the world. I still like to hear their music, but oddly enough I don't own a single Beatles album or CD. How about you, are you a Beatles fan or not?

The Beatles are number 1. The best band and the best music in my opinion.

Since February 1964. 7 years old and my mother plopped me down in front of the TV, told me to watch this, the kids are supposed to like this. She was right. It changed my life by getting me into listening to music for enjoyment.

My wife is a fan and my 23 year old daughter, who apparently came by it genetically, is even a bigger fan than me.

But if you really want to see Beatles fans, go to on of the Fests for Beatles Fans that are held in New York and Chicago.

We will not see anything like them, musically or socially, again. You can never repeat "the first time".

This is like not liking ice cream. How can someone not like the Beatles? One in a million?

I am a real fan. I think that anyone who doesn't appreciate their music needs to go back and listen to the kind of stuff that came before. A minute or two of "How Much is that Doggie in the Window" will convince most people.

I still love the Beatles. I have to say in my opinion they are the greatest rock n roll band ever. I am looking forward to 9/9/9 when they release all the Beatles albums remastered The Beatles’ Remastered Albums Due September 9, 2009 : Rolling Stone : Rock and Roll Daily. Dan , go buy the Beatles-Love CD which has been remastered it is a audiophile version of this great band.

I'm looking forward to the remasters, but I've never been a huge fan. I prefer the Stones by a large measure. And in regards to Woodlander's comment about what came before the Beatles, well there was Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Woody Guthrie, and Chuck Berry to name a few.
