Default N-01/N-05 network player remote control

Hello,

Since N-01/N-05 does not come with a remote control. I would like to know how to switch remotely the source of such device instead of pressing the Input button.

I am interesting to know how Esoteric remote control like the one for K-01 can work with the Esoteric network audio player and if it could be a solution to switch the source.

Thank you,

Eric

Default N-01/N-05 network player remote control

Eric,

I can only add that the remote on my K-03x is useless for anything other than turning the unit off and on and starting and stopping a Disc. There is no provision for changing inputs. It’s a step that causes me to get out of my chair.

(But then again, if I am switching from say, USB to CD, I have to get up anyway to insert the disc)

I couldn’t remember what my former K-03 remote did so I found a manual online. This picture is from page 18 of the online manual for the K-01/3. It does allow you to change the MODE (eg Input) using the remote.

The Esoteric RC-1315 has input select buttons that can be used with Esoteric DA converters. Whether it works with N-01 is a good question for your Esoteric dealer.

I asked Esoteric. Unfortunately, the answer is no.

It seems like the Esoteric Remote Controls, lack many functionalities customers look for on a RC.

I have asked my dealer for quite a long time, but no answer from him. I expect also the answer to be no.

In this case, what is the usage of the "remote control signal receiver" as seen on page 11 of the user manual for N-01 or N-05?

Thank you,

Eric

The remote control dims the display.
