Ok, I guess you are looking at something like the Linksys E6500 AC router and on the client side Linksys WUMC710 media connector.
But you might have to sift through topics like these to educate yourself abit about the nature of the technology: WUMC710 connects with only 40mhz in AC mode with L... - Cisco Home Community 802.11ac is not a final standard much like 802.11n was in the beginning. But atleast some users have reported pretty descent results with it. For sooloos you want a consistent working network with no dropouts. Wired network gives you that but sometimes you have no choice. I think AC have potential but haven't ventured there myself and it is evolving rapidly. Last edited by Crion; 01-17-2013 at 08:14 AM. |

How did you import from the 750? I have tried a couple of things and no luck so far. I don't know what to point to when using control Mac. I tried mounting it using the SMB command on a old Air since Mountain Lion doesn't support SMB command. |

I'll try to refresh my memory on how I did the MS750 backup and get back with you.

Jim, as I can best recall, when I made my original backup of my MS750, I mounted my network-connected MS750 using SMB and then just navigated to the "Content" folder and dragged the music files to a folder on my network-accessible hard drive. Of course, this was several years ago, and I was then running an older version of Mac OS.
When I got my Sooloos, I used the "Import" function in Control Mac to navigate to the MS750 backup folder, and I imported from there.

Jim, for large imports, please have everything including your ControlPC, network shares and MC200 hardwired to the same switch/router. Otherwise it will literally take forever..
After all large imports are done you can experiment with wireless/ac networking. When I do importing/backups I see around 250-350mbit continously on the network at the time of an album import. Last edited by Crion; 01-19-2013 at 12:11 PM. |

I will try connecting my old MacBook Adair to the network with a cable as that is the only machine with Snow Leopard on it. The MS 300 doesn't work with Mountain Lions SMB command. |

I think I have figured out how to pull some of the music from the MS 300 to the Meridian/Sooloos. I had to drill down further after connecting to the 300 via the network. I ampulling the first disc over now.
