Default DSD version 1812 Overture

I hope this is the correct forum for this inquiry.

I've been buying some DSD downloads from various sites and am finding that of all available music, these sound the best on my system. I've been unable to find a DSD download of 1812 overture. Just wondering if anyone is aware of a site that would have it ?

I have a perfectly good SACD disk version, but my only SACD spinner is 15 years old and doesn't sound good and I don't want to invest in a new one.

Entering - 1812 in DSD - into Google shows the famous Eric Kunzel, Cincinnati Pops recording available in DSD from a few sellers. Discogs shown here. But also Acoustic Sounds. Probably others.

A DSD64 download of a performance by Valery Gergiev conducting the Mariinsky Theater Orchestra is available at NativeDSD: https://mariinsky.nativedsd.com/albu...a-marche-slave

Unlike the Kunzel version on Telarc, Gergiev's "1812 Festival Overture" does not include a vocal chorus. Several other Tchaikovsky works are included in the complete download, but you can purchase only the "1812" track if you prefer.

Hi- I have that SACD, but is it available as a download ? I wish I had the hardware to rip the DSD layer as it is my favorite 1812.

There are other posts about how to archive your SACDs. There are some Sony and Pioneer SACD players that cost less than $100 that will allow you to archive. I would spend my time on figuring that out before jumping into another copy of an SACD you already have. Avoiding that cost could offset 30% of the cost to buy the player.

Thank you, I'll look into that. I have about 15 SACDs I'd like to archive.

You're very welcome. Downloaded it myself and like the non-overhyped performance.
