Very nice, Brian.
What speakers?
Trying to decide if between the DP-430 or DP-720 (if I can't live without SACDs) or Esoteric (or even McIntosh).
Indeed, listening always goes a bit better with a nice red.
Let us know after you've gotten some 'run time'.

Thanks Glenn. The speakers are ATC SCM07v3. I can honestly say, these are the best speakers I have ever heard in my room. They are really outstanding, even compared to my old Wilson Sashas (which I could never get to sound right). But certainly a little limited in the low frequency range. So far I'd say Accuphase mates perfectly with ATC (these are power hungry little speakers as they are a bit inefficient).

One thing nice about the DP-430 is it supports DSD over USB, even though it only has a CD drive. I will use this as a DAC 85% of the time since I have almost everything burned. Also, I only have a handful of SACDs so it wasn't a big deal. I'm thinking of trying the USB connection and DSD content soon.

I don't think you can go wrong with either one. I guess it depends upon how important playing physical SACD is to you. Also, the DP-430 is at a nice price point compared to the DP-720 if that is a consideration.

Brian - thanks for the info on using DSD files thru the DP-430. While I like SACDs, in the end, I probably don't I like them 2.8X as much as CDs ($6K for the DP-430 vs. $17K for the DP-560). Your solution sounds like a good option.

Edit - Oops. Meant the DP-560 and not the DP-720. Have fixed above. Thanks for pointing that out.

Glenn... don’t forget the DP-560 in between the DP-430 and DP-720.

+1 on the DP-560. That is a great option if you need SACD playback capability. I think adding the DSD via USB capability to the DP-430 was a very smart move for Accuphase. If you want to stay in the DP-430 price range but SACD is a deal breaker, the Esoteric K-07X is also a good option. In the end I wanted a matching unit and I love Accuphase.
