909: 80 kg - height 20" (495mm)
911: 31 kg - height 8.5" (216mm)

Width and depth are the same for both (19x19" or 482x482mm).

Cheers
Bart

Have you weighed them Rocco?
Because my 082 manual says it weighs 30 kg, but the real weight is 25 kg, as in their overview booklet.
This booklet also mentions 31 kg for the 911.
You see, also here there is some mystery with Burmester...

The new brochure has a Technical Specification supplement. This confirms Bart's figures, including the 082.

Jdebonth,Regarding pairing with ARC, Why do I have to use single-ended connection between ARC and Burmester ? in ARC specification, it stated that it has 600 ohm of output impedance and 20Kohm minimum load, that is Burmester 911's input impedance is way lower than minimum value ARC recommended.
111 is very interesting, now I don't have any source left in system. I really like sound of Accuphase 900//901, but someone said 111 is very hot product that I should keep eyes on it. I am not very good at computer things, so music server is not very easy for me. I saw my dad spent time ripping his CD into Olive4HD and I don't feel like fun. most of the time is spend on ripping rather than playing music.
Let's see when pricing announced.

Thanks again.
TOGA
Hi Toga,

As per Joost's specifications, the balanced input impedance on the 911 is way too low for a balanced connection with ARC, but single ended connection will be fine. It is a peculiarity with the 911 circuit - most amps have higher impedance on their balanced input.

The other issue you would face would be the very high input sensitivity of the 911. It is likely that you would have a volume issue with the ARC, as in you minimum volume setting would have too much gain. I don't know if the ARC can switch gain (Burmester preamps can - they have a higher gain setting for use with non-Burmester amps).

I tried my 911 with preamps from Jeff Rowland, Lamm, and Accustic Arts that I have in other systems. The 911 only came to life with the Burmester preamp. I use an 088. All the boards in the 088 are marked 077. I think the benefit from the 077 would be realised when using the separate power supply. No-one knows yet how the 111 will sound, but all indications are that it will be very good indeed. And I don't think there is so much price difference between the 077 with separate PSU and the 111, depending on your local pricing.

I have not heard the Magico Q3, but a close friend (now on another continent) has these and likes them very much. He says they are very easy to drive, unlike the Q5, and uses Vitus amplification that has less power than a single 911. I would get the best Burmester preamp stage with a single 911, rather than 2 x 911 with a lesser preamp.

Once you have ripped your music collection to the 911, and can then select whatever you want to hear sitting in your listening position with the iPad, you will wonder how you ever put up with having to find and load CDs. I now listen to much more of my music library. Before, I tended to just listen to the same bunch of CDs without wading through the racks.

I would also not call the Burmester sound sweet. It is very transparent, but not dry. It will be good fun for you to try it out with your Magicos
