One of the wonderful surprises I got with my new LP12 is the cuing… it is incredibly smooth, gentle and easy. It is a delight. It is so easy to use, and stable. I can’t imagine anyone coming to any other conclusion.

I have the keel sub chassis and the Ekos SE arm. I used to have the Akitos. No difference (in cuing) both great. The Ekos SE definitely sounds better.

Q: Linns or Thorens?

A: Rega (just my 2˘...)

Background: I loved having the P10 in-house for review....still want to get one sometime.

I've owned the P9, the RP10, and the P10, and they were all excellent tables. In the demos I've heard, the P10 sounded a little airier and had more detail and dynamics than an Akurate-level LP12 (I guess that's now Selekt) for about 1/2 the price. I heard them at different times and places, so my audio memory may not be that reliable. However the full-on Klimax sounded better to me than the Rega P10. The P10 is a fantastic bargain, easily the equal of tables costing 2 or 3 times its price. With the RP10 I had a Rega Aphelion cartridge and it was excellent. With the P10 I wanted a change and used a Koetsu, and in the end, although it sounded very good, I think the arm and cartridge were not a good match.
