My understanding is that the sub app can't support a stereo sub setup. Anyone know if there are plans to update it later for such use?

US rep is still working with engineers across the pond. They are as frustrated as I am with the progress.

B&W really needs to take the turbine head off one of the 800s and make a true reference subwoofer that matches the rest of the line. I’m picturing a shorty single 8”, 10” and dual 12” in cabinet like the 800s. Big amps on the back with a spine like current 800d3

Be nice to match the rest of the 803/802/800 D3 curvature. And removing the Turbine head, aerofoil mid and diamond tweeter with housing, you just took away a lot of cost to put into the amp and enclosure.

.... I am still patiently awaiting a solution, and I feel that B&W is not listening. I may have not bought their multi-$$$$ speakers but my request should be taken as a critique and not ignored.

Mike175gr, I suggest you wait before you jump in.

Just to be clear, the DB1D is a fine sub. My main issue was when choosing the 805D3 as the mains in the sub software the sub was barely outputting any gain. You would think same manufacturer mains would blend seamlessly with the sub. I had to go into the custom setup and turn up the gain on all freq bands. I feel like my dissatisfaction is not being taken seriously. The B&W rep came to my house to hear for himself and completely agree with my assessment and he escalated to issue up the pipeline but apparently has stalled since I have not heard an update.

A bummer that this is still unresolved months later--I had to reread old messages to remember. I originally suggested checking preamp, and you replied that you had an integrated, but did not say you had checked it. I'm back to a slight variation on my original thought--maybe it's the amp. Do you have another amp or one can can borrow from friend/dealer? Any amp should do--sound quality does not matter for this test.

Yes, had tried with a MAC6700 prior to the MA8900. Same issue. I switched outputs around on the MA890 - no change. I strongly feel it is a software issue with the B&W sub.
