I love the looks of the Diva II, even more then the rest of the Avid line. I have read reviews of their flagship phono stage and it looks amazing. Anyone have experience with the Pulsare?

I heard Jeff Dorgay's Avid reference with new atlas cartridge thru pass labs class A amps and the spectacular Gamut flagship speakers. Can't imagine any sound more beautiful than what I heard. Maybe hearing the laughter of my children but it would be close. Darrin

I use a Pulsare with my AVID Volvere and an SME 309 arm with a Dynavector DV XX-2 MKII. I used to use the phono preamp section of the McIntosh 2300 preamp. Since I made the switch to the Pulsare, the difference has been night and day. Much better depth and immediacy. The Pulsare has a ton of flexibility depending on cart loads. AVID has a new Pulsare coming out very soon, called the Pulsare II. It has a rumble reducer switch and a mono switch and probably newer boards. I've asked Conrad about the sonic differences of the two, and hes waiting on final production of the II to get back to me, but as far as the Pulsare is concerned, I feel it is a tremendous value. I'll live with it for a very long time.
