Killer Mc Tube System From Estate Sale
I'm really liking this custom console of vintage Mc gear I bought today.
MC240 amplifier, C11 preamplifier, MR73 tuner in a custom oriental inspired black lacquer audio cabinet. I have the amp sitting on top of the cabinet for photos but it has it's own shelf space below. Very high WAF... No tunes though as I will wait to have the components service first. Pretty cool this system has been together for 50 years.

Awesome. Where do you plan to take them for servicing prior to powering up?

These will either go to Audio Classics or Terry prior to my using them. Terry is not taking any new work until March and is running 90+ days backlog so it would be May - June if Terry does them.

Looks great. I am confused though. The same system is for sale on eBay right now. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item...d=171645913172

Don't be confused...its mine. I also have a lot of great rare jazz for sale and a lot more to list if I find the time. If the system doesn't find a new home in the next week or so they go to Terry before he leaves for vacation. He just sent me the rebuild information for all three components. Although the amp is excellent, Terry offers the option for a full cosmetic as well as electrical restoration with a brand new chassis and repainted transformers in addition to all the work updating everything under the hood. That would be amazing. A brand new MC240. The only way to go I think. I already run an MC275. I've always wanted an MC225 and set of MC30s too.... Take the record dividers out of the cabinet and it's the perfect place for a restored Mc amp museum.

Now that makes sense. You should keep them. Did the Jazz lps come from the same estate sale?
