Can't access your story but....
I just received my new iPhone today and have it running on IOS 13 with only one issue so far. The Roon app shows up in small print. Roon is working on it.

This is the first new iPhone since the 5SE. I was waiting for them to release another small phone but that doesn't look imminent. I purchased the 11 Pro which is the smallest the\y currently make. Still much bigger than my SE and I will have to get used to the rounded sides. I prefer the squared off edges of the 5SE which never slipped from my hands.

Apple has completely "lost the plot" since Steve Jobs passed, if you ask me. Just watch some of Louis Rossman's Mac repair videos on YT, for a lot of examples of Apple doing a lot of stupid stuff, like putting the main AC power point right next a low-current, low-voltage contact on the main logic board, so if there's a power transient, it not only fails at the power end, it also blows up the CPU. Then there's Apple consistently ripping people off on service problems, either charging several hundred dollars for a repair that actually costs $75, or claiming the product can't be repaired at all and must be replaced, when in fact, it can be repaired. What other company would persist in the incredibly stupid and failure-mode prone "butterfly" keyboard, and then....when the 4th gen Butterfly keyboard was introduced with the current 2019 MBP, immediately place that new keyboard under the butterfly keyboard replacement warranty program Apple had to put in place to deal with all the class-action lawsuits it was facing? Only one word to describe this behavior: stupid.

It now opens. I have only had it for a few hours but still no issues. I had been using 13 on my 5SE for a few days also without a problem.

My only issue is the increase in size and weight over my older phone. I do miss the home button.
