I can find no reason to upgrade to the commercial free version because for the most part Handmaid's has been he only show we have watched on Hulu. We have just started watching "Line of Duty" and that has captured our attention and I am very excited that they have decided to make a series out of "Das Boot" which is now streaming. That movie was easily in my top 3 of best war films of all time.

Oh wow, Das Boot! I loved the movie so of course will have to watch the series now. Thanks for bringing it up Jim.

Directly after writing my rant about the Hulu commercials, I saw the advertisement for Das Boot. I won’t write what I said out loud.

Commercials don’t bother me all that much on Hulu. In fact they give me a chance to run to the fridge to grab a snack or attend to the biological needs in the bathroom and be back in time to continue watching.

I wouldn’t mind the commercials shown on streaming services if the didn’t play the same commercials over and over again. Sometimes back to back- or if they were better targeted.

No, I’m not interested in prescription medication for everything under the sun.

The “interactive” commercials caught me by surprise. One has to select a choice or a topic within that commercial to continue.

I suppose the individual/viewer “targeted” commercials are not too far behind now with all the algorithms and personal data mining out there. No doubt those targeted commercials would be in high demand from the streaming services and bring a ton of revenue.
