Really great thread! I have an extra SilenX Ixtrema fan unused in the box if somebody wants it. (I bought two when I upgraded mine) Just PM me if you are interested in it.

Also the "golden disk" is readily obtainable if needed.....

Does anyone know if the operating system is the same for the MS300 AND MS750? Are the drives interchangeable?

My MS300 has been powered down and offline since 2014. I have the replacement caps from the list installed replacing the originals in the PS. I wil order the additional cooling fans and wire them as shown.

I'm curious as to how hard it will be for me to clone the factory 300gb hard drive then install a 750GB, or 1TB? I've never cloned a hard drive before.

Can I substitute up to a 1 TB solid state hard drive versus a standard drive with reasonable ease?

How about transferring existing music files to the new HD, and installing the latest update of firmware? How do you recommend proceeding?

I reckon it'll best to get the system up and running again with the latest firmware before thinking about upgrading the HD or other things? My MS300 has low hours on it and never missed a beat from 2006 to 2014 when it was in use.

Before Gracenote expired, I recall using my computer with the internet to locate any missing album art and hand loading (typing) title name and tracks. Will the MS300 interface the same way with Windows 10 as it did with Windows XP? Is this what others are doing now that Gracenote support has expired?

My keyboard went missing during a move but I have the original remote. Can I still get
a keyboard and is it necessary,.. I never needed it before?

I'm assuming a internet connection will always be necessary, as well as being on my local network.?

Regarding internet radio, I never used it much or had much luck loading stations in manually and by 2014 I recall almost all pre-installed stations had gone dead. Is deleting the factory stations recommended for best operating performance?

Thank you in advance for answering this list of questions. If it easier to refer me to posts or threads within AA covering these questions, that would be fine with me. I'm sure I will have more questions as well as need to source a Golden CD.
