wait, 10 ms is 10 milliseconds? so you get that by

distance (10 feet) / speed of sound (1124 ft/sec) = time (8.8 milliseconds ~> 10)

So if i can't put them 10 feet away from the wall , would a revel f208 be better
??

And since they are current hungry, they would need a McIntosh c452?

In my apartment the (narrow) wall is 11 feet 8 inches wide. A huge picture window is in the wall.. almost full width at 9 ft wide. To the sides, in corners are shelving almost to ceiling full of DVDs in 1/2 width 'slim line' containers. so more dense. folded drapes with backing help the corners also, as they are left folded 100% of the time.
I used to keep my Magnepan 3.6 about 40 inches closest point, from back wall. Tweeters IN. and a lot of angle in. This year I bought Magnepan 20.7 for my listening pleasure. And placed them in the exact same spot to start. With a lot better midrange i was able to do a little adjusting, and now have exact measurements (so I can put them back)
With a standard 8ft ceiling.
18 inches from side wall (this is the closest point on speaker in that direction)
Tweeters in.
The outside edge is 58 1/2 inches from back wall. The inside edge is 42 inches from back wall.
My seating position is about 12 feet from the speaker direction wall. Kind of in the middle of the room front to back. Maybe a little more space behind me...
There IS a chair, very low, open design with leather in between, to hide the amplifier. (The chair back which is behind the plane of the speakers by a foot, is so low it is below the in wall AC vent under the picture window.. so about 26 inches tall.)

This is the best spot for clarity of Female vocals after a lot of moving around (mainly with the previous 3.6 speakers, but verified with the 20.7s
