2 and 3 Channel Amps configuration

In a home theater setting If you had a two channel and a three channel would you set up the amps ... 2ch= L,R & 3ch = C, LR ,RR or 2ch = L,C,R
& 3 ch = LR, RR ?. Please explain why

I would want a better timbre match across the front end, so a 3 channel for LCR. But it would also depend on the quality of the amps used.

Do you think there would be no benefit for audio only if the R&L were seperate from the 5.1 channels?

Better separation that would maybe show on paper but not be picked up by our ears.

In your case, I would do whatever works out best as far as cable management.

I would use the 2250 for the front l and r. According to the spec on Krell's web site, the transformer is rated for 2500 VA for both amps. if this is correct, I would guess that the actual output power is higher on the 2250 than 3250.
